Product Description This item has been discontinued. Daniel Valdez's music has received wide recognition over the past three decades. In 1966, Daniel joined Cesar Chavez's United Farm Workers Union where, on the picket lines, he learned to perform improvisational theatre. As one of the founding members of El Teatro Campesino (ETC), he added his music to the UFW's message of social justice for farm workers. 1998 marked the 25th anniversary of the recording of Daniel Valdez' "MESTIZO". It was his first solo album which propelled him into the world of concert performer. He has performed with many musical artists, such as Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, Ruben Blades, Celia Cruz, and Tito Puente. He was the romantic lead opposite Linda Ronstadt in her stage production of "CANCIONES DE MI PADRE".
